The Nikiri Knife is a traditional Japanese style vegetable knife.
While it has a similar shape to a traditional meat cleaver, this knife is designed with a thinner, lighter blade specifically for chopping and dicing vegetables. With a straight edge and blocky shape, this knife cuts cleanly through to the board, without the need for any horizontal push or pull motions.
Like all Takumi knives, the Nakiri Knife is made from 67 layers of folded steel, giving it a flowing, rippling pattern along the length of the blade. It features a full tang and an ergonomic handle design with a carbon fibre finish, for ultimate strength and comfort.
